A Review On Friday The 13th. Thriller/Horror :)

A Review on Friday the 13th.

When I first heard about the film Friday the 13th I thought that it was a bit weird. This is because I didn’t see the fascination in the storyline which was someone called Jason killing people because of them being around his house. It seems a silly to have it based on that. But it did work for the movie and it did get some reviews.

When I first turned it on and I saw the opening scene I thought it was quite jaw dropping, because it opened up with some people going camping and well as you can image it went down hill with all but one of them dieing, it was either a slow and painful death or it was quick and easy. There were two scenes in the move that did make me cringe more than normal this was when the girl was cooked to death in a bag over the fire. The other one was when the boy got his foot caught in a bear trap, and then later got an axe in the head. Those were the scariest parts for me but overall I thought that there were still something’s that could have been improved the movie. But what they did with the movie was pretty good, and it did get some compliments.

The bad thing about this film is that it is basically the same thing over and over again… Killing and it gets boring after a while, ok yes the way he does kill each people does keep you on your toes but it still seems a little bit boring. It is constantly someone dieing and ok yes it is a horror film but you do want to see something else besides death 24/7. Something which shocks you, for example someone gets married, but for this film you don’t see anything which is happy about it.

The storyline I found to be boring and I bit weird. But once I started watching it I will admit it did get better as the story went further but it still seemed to be going in the same routine. But at some point in the movie it did make tension rise and fears fly through the roof. The good thing about the movie though is that it had a lot of different camera shots, which is why I chose to review this movie. This is because with all the different camera shots you can see the movie in a lot more detail. Take the boy in the bear trap for example, you could see different angles or his would which makes the tension rise because you begin to feel his pain. At one point you see his bone and it makes you cringe and jump back in your seat, it makes people want to know more and what happens to him. But in the end they all end up in the same way which is dead.

Thank you for reading my review, and I hope that this doesn’t stop you from watching this movie, remember all our opinions is different.
