The Memento Review.

The Memento Review.

For the past couple of days we have been watching this film called 'Memento'. Here is my view on how i found the film.

When Sir first told us how the film went i was like this seems boring. Like something which wasnt very popular but it had a lot of different camera shots. Now that i have watched the film i realise that it is soooo much more difficult to understand than i first thought, the way it jumped from scene to scene made my head dizzy. But i am not saying it is not a good film, it is it is just i didn't think i was like that.  It was a lot different from what i imagened it would be, in some ways its better but in others it still made my head hurt.

The thing i liked about this film was the moral of the story, someone who has a short term memory lose is trying to find and kill the person who raped and murdered his wife. The way the husband was determine to find this man it makes me feel sorry for him and i feel his love, but it also makes me want to give him strength to carry on. It also makes you realise that people are not always not what they seem and because you have a condition does not mean you are totally useless.

Another thing i found effective about this film was how it went from black and white to colour depending on when it was taken. The black and white is him telling the story of how he used to live. When he talks about sammy, you feel unsure whether he if faking it or whether he is really like this, when you first see Sammy i thought he was faking it, a money skam i thought, but later on it becomes more clear that he really does have a short term memory lose.

The thing i did not enjoy about the film was that it jumped and after a while it was like he was repeating itself, and just as you got to see something new you saw how it joined to the other and then you would see the scene again.
